WHY THERAPY?

There are many reasons why people seek the support of therapy. Sometimes we face difficulty in our lives or relationships. We may find it difficult to be fully in touch with the present or feel stuck in past patterns and unable to change.

Perhaps you have experienced fear, anxiety, confusion or moments where life lacks meaning, joy or a sense of true aliveness.

Psychotherapy is not a “quick fix cure” which will instantly solve all your problems. It is often described as a voyage from one shore to another. Therapy is like the ship or container for the journey. Whilst the destination may be to get to the other shore, the journey is always unique.

However, you don’t have to have a crisis to benefit from therapy. Some people find it a rich and transformative journey to learn more about themselves.
